I was more struck by the major themes and smaller nuances of this well-crafted story: justice in the light of injustice, the unyielding corruption within those who held sway, a way of life that made prisoners out of all the men (in one way or another), the ability of the human soul to endure, hope when there is none and of course salvation and ultimately redemption.
